Who is mobile dental hygiene for?

It’s perfect for anyone who prefers care at their chosen environment! We’re here for patients of all ages, whether it’s kids, seniors, or anyone in between.

How do I schedule an appointment with you? 

Easy! Just click the Book Online button on every page of this website. Alternatively, you can call or text (780) 999-8880. If we don’t answer, we are likely with a patient so just leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Do you accept dental insurance? 

Absolutely! I have signed up with direct billing to most insurance companies. Be sure to check with your provider to confirm your coverage.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit card, debit card, cash, email transfer.

Do you charge a travel fee? 

Travel fees are based on two factors: distance and the number of people booked at a single location. The great news? There’s no travel fee within 30 km of Edmonton city limits! Beyond that, fees start at $30 and increase with distance—often covered by dental insurance. Even better, if multiple people are scheduled at the same location, the mobile fee may be waived, making your appointment even more convenient and cost-effective!

What areas do you serve? 

Edmonton and surrounding areas. Greater distances are negotiable for an added mobile fee.

How long does a typical dental hygiene appointment take?

Most appointments range from 1-2 hours, depending on ages and what your needs and requirements are.

What happens during a visit?

Your hygienist will arrive 20 minutes before your appointment to complete the setup, ensuring a seamless start. Once everything is ready, your appointment will follow a structure similar to a traditional dental office—only without the time constraints. Every aspect of your care is tailored to meet your specific needs for a more comfortable and personalized experience.

How should I get ready for the appointment?

 Please provide a well-lit space at least 6x6 feet in size, ideally near an electrical outlet. We’ll handle everything else!

Do I still need to see a dentist?

At Home Comfort Hygienist, your hygienist has the qualifications to prescribe essential radiographs and diagnose cavities, streamlining your dental care. This means you only need to visit a dentist if something beyond the scope of dental hygiene requires attention—offering you a more efficient, convenient, and comprehensive experience. Should you require a dentist’s care, we’re happy to provide a referral to your current dental office or recommend a trusted professional from our network.

How do you ensure your equipment is clean and safe?

Safety is our top priority! Home Comfort Hygienist features an Alberta Health-approved, fully qualified reprocessing facility on-site, ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance for your care. All multi use instruments are sterilized according to strict standards, and we use protective barriers and high-level disinfectant to keep everything clean and safe.

Do you provide dental hygiene services for patients with special needs?

Of course! Together, we can tailor a plan suited for all accommodations required for your loved one who requires a little extra time and attention

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment with you?

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes changes are necessary. To ensure we can accommodate others who may need an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel. This helps us avoid unnecessary travel and allows us to offer the time to someone else who may benefit. Thank you for your understanding!

Do you offer teeth whitening services?

Absolutely! The only exceptions are if you have visible fillings or crowns on your front teeth, as they won’t change color with whitening. Additionally, if there are cavities in your "smile zone," the whitening agent could seep into the decayed areas and potentially make them worse, which could be uncomfortable.

Can I book appointments for my entire family with you?

Absolutely—the more, the merrier! Our goal is to make your experience as smooth and stress-free as possible, especially when it comes to keeping your little ones comfortable. We set aside plenty of time to accommodate your family's needs, ensuring a relaxed, fun, and positive experience for everyone!
